[PBN]Cummins Filtration finds uses for bio diesel byproduct in new glycerin-based coolant

From: Nashville Business Journal - 07/07/2008
Cummins Filtration has taken the green approach with its new heavy duty glycerin-based engine coolant.
Nashville-based Cummins specializes in filtration, exhaust, coolant and fuel additive technology. The new product is called Fleetguard ES Compleat Glycerin.
Company officials say replacing ethylene or propylene glycol in coolant with non-toxic glycerin supports sustainability because glycerin -- the primary byproduct of the biodiesel manufacturing process -- is derived from renewable sources.
The new coolant meets or exceeds original equipment manufacturer specifications of all heavy engine manufacturers, a Cummins release says.
